Tonight my boyfriend said something i thought was rather odd.
I guess sometimes he said he has "better than 20 20 vision" and sometimes he "gets real spacey and [his] vision is really blurred". Honestly, It kinda scared me.
I just thought putting it out there that his family has a history of schizophrenia[?]. Altho im sure that has nothing to do with that.
But that also bothers me sometimes.
What could be happening....?

I wouldn't worry about the better than 20/20 vision, I used to have 20/13 in each eye (I could read at 20 feet what most people had to be at 13' to read.)

When was his last complete physical? I'd make sure he went in and discussed any changes with his MD.

Yes, it's not "better", just being far-sighted, which has its own problems. Maybe the blurring is a result. Has he been to see an eye doctor? I'm 60 and finally went to one last year and am both far-sighted, near-sighted, AND have an astigmatism! It worked out well though because I still only needed one pair of glasses, without multiple prescriptions and don't need them to drive yet. Passed my driving test eye exam last Fall without a problem.

As a matter of fact, there is such a thing as better than 20/20 vision. Some of the laser eye correction companies are beginning to advertise it, as the operation becomes more precise. An example of someone with naturally better than twenty twenty vision is an English fast bowler (sorry, I forget his name, I'd have to ask my ex) who's eyesight was so good that he could read texts from the reflection in someone's eyes. (Yes, he could read backwards and upside down.) When he was a kid he used it as a party trick to make people think he was psychic.

Now, whether your boyfriend really does have better than twenty twenty vision, I don't know. But I wouldn't panic because of one small thing.

What a great ability to "read the reflexion" off someones eyes! I've cheated and read the reflexion off of glasses during a card game! heheheh
