My Circadian Rhythm (inner clock) has been out of order for 5 days..most scientists believe that Circadian disfunction is one of the reasons why people get BiPolar (along with BP genetics) Mood & sleep are regulated in the same part of the brain..so if your sleep cycle gets messed up your moods get messed up and vice versa. I gotta tell ya, I'm enjoying it!..just like a swift kick to the teeth.

BP...oh, you are so right. I've long believed that a good night's sleep is essential to preventing manic episodes, and I take a sleep aid to make sure I get 6 hrs. What throws me off is a nightmare in the middle of the night. I wake up, and don't fall back to sleep easily. The next day I want to sleep in or go to bed early, thus beginning a vicious cycle if I give in.
I hope you get back on track soon.
