It seems to me that when we are younger, many times we tend to be more creative! One of the reasons can be that our brain is more active because we study...when we have a job and a family our thoughts might be stuck on feeding the baby, cleaning. cooking, shopping - and - depends on our job...EVEN if we have a creative job- the point is - to never stop expanding out point of view, our knowledge, to serve our natural curiosity...
When we live only with a "have to" we find ourselves frequently tired of this life, disconnected from out selves and from the meaning of life to us....same with our feelings... |

Thank you so much for the reminder, lady. Too often the cares of life weigh me down and pull the joy out of. Maybe the answer is to become more childlike!

Its true. I have fallen into the pit of 'must do this and must do that to survive' a lot recently. And its a real burden.
Although, I think in general we're just creative and more outgoing when we're younger. I think its just the nature of youth... Because as a natural artist and art-lover, I can honestly say that I feel I have lost touch with my artistic side. And I'm not saying that just to put down my work. I say it because while I do engage in creative activities, I have noticed I spend more time being technical than creative. Nit-picking and turning it into a job versus just going for it and having fun... I loved drawing when I was younger. And I was pretty damn bad at it. But did it stop me? Hell no. Because it was fun. It was an awesome way to really get lost in my imagination. I think its important to be as youthful as we can at any age and stop fretting about the details so much. So kudos. |
