Just wanted to throw a reminder out there about the Avatars. We all agree they are a fun and alot of people enjoy them as well as find them theraputic.
We also have to remember that some find them very distracting and they can even be painful for some because of the way thier eyes react to certain stimuli. We do have the fun forums now so would it be possible to share the really big or flashy ones there and keep the ones within our regular postings to a minimum and/or less flashy? This has come up in discussion before and I think maybe we all kind forgot the imprtance of it. Thanks!! ((((heidu))))) Good thinking. there have been times that I would not have been able to tolerate lots of avatars. I'm a lot better now... thankfully!

Just a note that you can turn avatars off if you don't like them.
Choose Profile & Messages, then choose to Edit Display Preferences. You'll find those options at the bottom of that screen. Best, John

i hate avatars and i just tried to turn them off, but i already have " View user's pictures with their posts?" checked to "no" and i'm still seeing them. what am i missing?

Pardon my ignorance, but just what are "avatars" anyway? The one thread with that title I have pretty much avoid just because it's so darn long and keeps growing every day, LOL. I arrived here in the middle of it, so I figure I won't bother trying to catch up on that one.

Inkblot, avatars are all the pictures and animations you see on some posts. You don't want to go to the long thread because it's not about avatars!
