I went to my sister's t to give him some information that I witnessed in my sister's behavior. At the end of the session he had her sit forward and he would tap lightly on her hand and asks questions while doing it. At one point he had her hand over her head and pushed down on her otheroutstretched arm. He said that this would give him some informations that he needed. Does anyone recognize this technique, and if so, could you tell me about it or at least what is called?

Thanks in advance.

Have you googled EFT tapping points. "MTT-meridian tapping techniques"

I hope it helps.

You can also google "Neuro-Emotional Techniques".

These things sound like some standard medical techniques for detection of carpal-tunnel syndrome and Parkinson's.

If the therapist was tapping on the underside of the wrist, in carpal-tunbel this can elicit a tingling or spasm in the arm.

Patients with Parkinson's exhibit a "cogging" of motion rather a smooth resistance when pressed upon.

However, in the context of a therapists office, these sound pretty unlikely as tests.

Were you discussing anything along those lines?

No, we were discussing her non-epileptic seisures. Seems it was EFT or whatever. Gonna confirm with her t next time. I think he was trying to find out where we were emotionally with her seisures. My sister doesn't always tell the truth or hides the truth but she can't do that with me.
