I went to see my counselor today. I am now down to seeing her once a week instead of once a month or three...but that's another story....

Anyway when I left her office, I drove to a nearby store and when I came back to the car, the front left side of my car bumper had come loose. It had pulled a peice of the wheel well down, too and I couldn't drive at all. I was stuck.

I tried to get it to go back together and it didn't work. I went back in the store and no one there would help me although I waited and hour and a half while they fiddled around trying to decided if they would or not. Since it happened on their parking lot they were questioning liability and I kept telling them I wasn't holding anyone liable, but you know how that goes....

So, I went backoutside with some straps to see if I could tie it up or something. I worked and couldn't make it happen and didn't know what to do. I heard a voice behind me, and a nice man wanted to know if I needed help. He fixed it!

He didn't have to stop to help me, but he did. I thanked him over and over again and he seemed just as pleased that I appreciated his kindness as I did that he fixed my car. I was truly blessed today.

Jan, I also like and enjoy these stories. Today I took a ride to a Mac store about 2 hours from my house, over the mountain and down the other side. Beautiful ride. When I went to pay for my repair the kid said oh mam we don't take checks. Well, I carried no plastic and it was in a valley with no cell phone reception, I couldn't call out to get a card number. So this total stranger charged my order with hers and I paid her. She didn't have to. moments like this help me see the goodness in most of us. She looked my age but was buying her 35 year old son a brand new laptop! Nice one too. Nice story Jan, Wish we could have these tales everyday.

It is so nice to hear these happy, thoughtful stories posted. Sometimes it seems we dwell on the bad things that we are going through that we forget there is some nice, generous, good people out there. I am so glad both of you had the opportunity to find some even if it was through strangers.
