Brain Rules is a book authored by John Medina, a developmental molecular biologist and research consultant. The subtitle of the book is “12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School.”

Tools for Thought reviewed Brain Rules here: http://tools-for-thought.com/2008/11...w-brain-rules/

Medina has his own web site: http://www.brainrules.net/ and is quite an intriguing fellow.

SHEEZ! You're right (one time when my daughter was like 3.5 - she was SO CUTE, by the way, but she was sitting in the car seat in the back and she goes: "Mom, why do you keep saying "cheeses" when we're driving?" and another time she goes: "Mommy, what's a dome-***?" Two of my favorite anecdotes). Anyway, he's TERRIFICALLY interesting. Terrific.

Very interesting, thanks! (all 12 rules: http://www.brainrules.net/the-rules)

Unfortunately, for me, knowing the rules and how great they are does not mean I will put some of them into practice! Yes exercise, getting enough good sleep, and not being stressed are known good things, but. . .
