I like to see the birds going to the feeders outside my windows. In Spring, pretty little finches come for thistle seed. Now there are frequent hummingbird sightings. And about 3 species of doves come to get the seed that falls on the ground. I like to hear the doleful call of the Mourning Dove. Often there are White Winged Doves. Everyday, when I'm not depressed, I go out and clean the bird bath.

This year there was a young bird (chick down still blowing off him) who didn't like to have to get his own seed. He would stay on the cinder block wall begging the adults to feed him like he was a chick. They did indulge him (or her) for awhile. The adult would come back from the feeder with a seed to put in his mouth.

I don't like pigeons at all. They're so entitled. And I don't like crows in the winter.

I study. I'm rarely bored (unless you count work, ha). I look forward to the end of a bad work situation and graduation.
Thanks for this!

I look back at 2007 and see how sick I was then, and look at how far I've come. I still struggle and I'm still working on my recovery but I've seen huge improvement so that's motivating.

What else keeps me going.

Music - I'm taking harp and guitar lessons.
Knitting - New hobby & I love it.
Volunteering - Here and on Bodies under Seige and on my psych hospital's telephone support line.
Talking to friends.
Going to AA
Taking courses - currently working on IFRS certification.
Teaching - I teach an on-line course at the University of Toronto.
Blogging - I have two blogs a personal / professional one, and a recovery blog (link in my signature).
Designer coffee from Starbucks - I love my daily javachip frappuchino in the summer.
Job hunting - it's frustrating as all get out, but I think I'm close to getting a job.
