It was mostly my fault. But the other driver has no license or insurance. I had insurance, however, I am behind in payments, so it may have been cancelled. The other driver didn't want to make a report because she and I would have gotten in a lot more trouble for our irresponsibilities. Anyone have advice? I think I work with this girl's mom too, so it's going to be extremely uncomfortable to be around her. I plan to take some responsibility for the damage to her car, yet I just can't afford any cosmetic repairs. I will not have any car at all now because it messed up my frond end. I think she just needs a new tire, and radiator to make the car drivable. I feel like I'm swimming in guilt. I've never been in any type of accident ever before. I just don't know how I will face her mom whom I work with. My friends told me that we should just call it even. I feel I should pay for minimal repairs on her car. My friends also told me that I should protect myself by not fully admitting my guilt. I'm thinking what kind of world do we live in....??? Sure, we were both wrong in so many ways, but she did in fact have the right of way. I'm just so scared she's going to turn on me, and try to sue me or something. Any ideas/suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. thank you.

Your friends are right. Take responsibility for it. If your car insurance was cancelled...you would have received a letter of cancellation, or should have. Just tell the truth.
