I go to a disability employment agency and apparently I'm not allowed to change agencies. Does this seem right to you?

Sometimes I don't even care, and other times I feel like going in there and kicking doors down and breaking stuff.

It's all very cuckoo's nest.

it seems right to me. here employment agencies have regions that they work. some are designated essex county, some warren county, onterio county, fulton county, monroe county, franklin county, delaware county, clinton county... its all broke up according to what county you live in.

you can also find work online. craigs list has a section for people looking for work. and its free to place and ad, and free to answer ads. your area newspaper may also have a section walled "wanted" "jobs" and "employment"
you can also look in your phone book under what ever qualifications you have example if you are qualified for teaching contact schools in your area, if you are qualified for merchandising contact area stores right now stores are hiring for the holiday season. and they hire year around for stock person. what ever job you are looking for your phone book may have the answer for you.

Do you know why you can't change?

I am thinking it might be possible that they are contracted to be the exclusive employment agency as a way of centralizing the process(es) involved.

Echoes, I was asked to provide a reason as to why I wanted to move and I provided a few, but they then said they'd work on these reasons rather than move me on. . .

I'm coming off my meds and sometimes I just go in there and last time i broke the mouse on the computer out of anger and i refused to see my case manager. I feel better now though.

I'm disabled as in 'crazy', but i don't think i'm really that crazy anymore, although i am always unemployed it seems, and that's probably part of the reason.

Anyways, yes, they're one of a few employment agencies of that type in my immediate vicinity, so probably no exclusivity rights there.

Anyway, i have appreciated the chat.
Thanks for this!

The Government website might give some info on how it all works:
