I'm getting all of these comments(27 so far) today, that I don't think are for me. I never had so many messages in my email inbox. Makes me feel popular. Lol. Anyone else having this problem?

I had one that wasn't mine, but oh well.

Have you said anything to the mods about this? They may be able to help...

The blogs are getting spammed. You need to go into your control panel and enable the spam control. That way people have to type in a code before they can post a comment.

This happens all the time on blogs (getting spammed). Once you set up the spam control you should be ok.

Doc John put up a post about it this morning located here.

i couldn't stop them from spamming my blog. they just started sending things directly to my e.mail address. i just went and deleted everything and i really hated to do that. i was getting e.mails about viagra, cialis, gambling and more gambling. as soon as i wiped it all out, the e.mails stopped. maybe i didn't enable the "thing" correctly because you all know i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed on this computer. You deleted all your posts. Somethings going on with my blog...I cant stop the rain As it is set up now, I can't comment at all (I checked to see if your spam control was on). I don't have a blog so I can't tell you how to turn on the spam guard step by step. It should be someone in the control panel.

Here are the steps:

1) Log into your blog account
2) From the Dashboard screen, click on the name of your blog
3) Click the link at the top of the screen titled Control Centre
4) On the Control Centre screen, click on the link titled AuthImage under the category "Anti spam management"
5) On the AuthImage Plugin screen, click the "enable" checkbox
6) click Update

This will require a user to enter a (given) code in order to post their comments. Spam generators can't see the code.

You are also able to Manage your posts and delete the comments. It's a lengthy navigation process and I don't have time to document it here, but I was able to figure it out fairly quickly so I imagine that if others tried, they could too.
