I am scared to death to be put to sleep for this procedure for fear of not waking up again. Anyone have this problem?

Well I'm not scared to death but yes it's intimidating. Best to share this with your doctor and the anesthetist. I had jaw surgery once and I was trembling so bad..... but I was afraid of the surgery because I was having my lower jaw sawed on both sides. I just told them I was scared (teeth shattering) and they reassured me. At some point you just have to surrender and realize this procedure is necessary. You're not the only one and this is a common fear. Sending strength and courage your way - you can do this.
