Hi there,
As many have seen on the news the mid-Atlantic states have been hit with one of the first major snowstorms this winter (though the calender says it "ain't winter yet") I just thought I'd ask y'all what do you do to cope with cabin fever. Me? I go outside, shovel, check on the mail, then do house stuff I have long put off, or maybe I don't?
It may be fun to hear what the rest of you do to deal with that shut in feeling

I stock up on hot chocolate ....get a buncha new books...grab a blankie and settle in . A plus if you have a fireplace or woodburning stove to cuddle by or rent some nice "cozy" movies for a night.
With my panic attacks, I prefer to be home so I guess winter time is a safety season for me. Hibernating seems to be in my nature.

That is what I do when I figure I do not want to do the housework I promised to, ha!ha! I just wish I could regain my attention span, I have books I bought meaning to read, last winter I got on this reading jag and then it died, hope it comes back soon, I feel there will be more "snowdays"

Take care & stay warm,

{{{{{{{{{Darkeyes}}}}}}}}}

We are getting hit with the snowstorm tonight. There are lots of warnings out in my area - Nova Scotia.

That is a great idea to get some reading done. I am usually too tired to read in the evenings anymore but I think tonight I will. Thank you. Cabin fever, and it isn't even January

I could just sit and watch the snow all night falling though. The only time I do like it is when it is snowing...especially those big fluffy flakes.....ahhhhh....so pretty.

I love to put on my "big" pants...lol, and a big baggy sweatshirt. Sometimes I clean the house (I stress the sometimes, here). Most of all, I love to cuddle on the couch with my dogs and my daughter and read or watch movies. The movies, when my daughter has her way, consist of Disney movies. Toy Story is one of our favorites
My dogs entertain us when they get tired of the cabin fever and decide to run laps through the house. There is never a dull moment for me
I am kind of looking forward to having a snow day, so that I can have some quality time with my kids (dogs included)

s- i - i - i - i - i - g - h! I wish I could watch the big fluffy flakes coming down sitting next to you, Heather. Cabin fever, and it isn't even January I even like to go out and look up at the snow as it falls... like a big fluffly blanket coming down to cover me.

I don't get a chance to get cabin fever here in CA except on rainy days like today. It's the perfect day run over to Serenity's house brining all 10 of the Land Before Time Series. Cabin fever, and it isn't even January That is, if Autumn will turn loose of them. hehe I don't have a fireplace but I can sit and stare at the blinking lights of my REAL Christmas tree. We splurged this year and now I have to go out and get more decorations. This one is bigger than the fake one. I love it!! I smells sooooo good!

Cabin fever, and it isn't even January He's making a list and checking it twice...

Your welcome to wath "The Kids" movies with me anytime Sept And if Autumn wont give up hers we still have mine hehe. Afraid I was reminiscing to winters up north cozying by a fireplace in one of the Noreaster we would get. Since being in Florida I cant say I do thaty much anymore but I loved it.
Weird having Christmas when you arent blocked in the house because snowdrifts have blocked all the doors.
