Just want to say nice folks doing nice things to help me here with their skills. Now, is there a banker in the house who can make my checkbook balance? Scared ya huh?

I had to do that for my mom...ended up taking and adding all the checks written since Jan 1 and adding up all the deposits, along with the ending balance from 05 and deducting the checks from the deposits that way. That way, no confusion over whether a check has cleared or not.. but you do need to make sure the deposits are at the bank!

Hey there, balancing checkbooks doesn't scare me at all compared to the cost accounting courses I had in college to get my degree in Accounting Information Systems......I had to take the same classes that the Accounting majors did to go for their CPA.

It isn't something I do very often, but when I sit down to do it & don't get distracted, I am really good at doing it.

The worst part of it is talking myself into the fact that I just have to sit down & do it!!!!!!!!! & it sure isn't fun.

Sure hope you don't get migraines very easily cause it sure can be the start of one......hope you don't stress yourself out after all else you are going through.....I would say just a little bit at a time, but if you are anything like me, if I just don't sit down & do it completely, I will continue to find other things to do & never get back to it.

Like when we were kids, the story about the train.....I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.....& then I DID IT yaaaaahooooooo.

You know what? I am very capable of balancing my check book but I hate it! I was making a joke about it. It is my least favorite thing to do. I have to get my taxes done so I can get kid's financial aide in. I am so good at not getting things done when I should be.
