hi all.

in a nutshell;
I've got a bunch of anxiety disorders..
i live on my own with my NPD Father.
i just had to sign off from my 2nd C.B.T round at the maudsley as my living circumstance is preventing me from engaging or benefiting from my therapy.

i need to move desperately..
so far i've got signed onto E.S.A
now apparently i need to get D.S.A and housing benefit.

but i have no support network.. i would go somewhere to get help filling in the D.L.A form but then i don't know if the person i get will actually 'help' me.
the form is totally geared towards physical health > so you have to be careful with the answers as they make it very difficult to accuire purley on mental health grounds...

and the housing benefit is driving me up the wall.
:they give you not enough money for a single occupancy flat
- so they effectively force you into shared..; which i would not cope under.

^ basically i think i'm going to have to declare myself homeless.
i no longer feel safe in my environment, i have no relatives that could put me up at the moment; or foreseeable future.
have no income - and can't work obviously.
and i simply can't live with my Dad anymore - it's now dangerous as well as soul destroying.

but ... .. arghghgh such a hassle.
don't know where to turn.. - stuck.

BX

I understand your situation. I have been in a similar one myself. Sharing is not all that bad. If you are under 25 you will have a hard time finding (and getting rent) on a single flat.
Pesky Cameron has changed the rules lots, and its going to get harder. Have a think about sharing to get yourself into an enviro you feel comfortable in.
Take good care.

Hey Circles,

I am on E.S.A..... not much money huh! I attend a charity called Penumbra in Scotland and they help us with forms and stuff like that. They also can come to app's with us if we think we need their input or just for someone to come with us.

I would suggest going to Citizen's Advice and asking them for help. If you don't get anywhere with them then maybe a MH worker? My CPN is quite helpful and knows a hell of a lot more then I do

Hope this helps!
