Just keep talking to us, but it would probably help if you talked with a therapist too! Most of us have, and it helped us alot. I've been in and out of therapy most of my adult life and I'm so glad i did! Right now, I'm in "remission." lol
I'm glad it has helped you to talk to us. This is a great place. But the fact that you're still very depressed says that you probably should see a therapist! I hope you'll think about it. But keep posting! Best of luck and God bless! Hugs, Lee ![]() |

I definitely agree that you should try therapy. Not only because you can talk freely and get excellent advice on developing coping strategies, but also because a therapist may see things in you that your psychiatrist has not. Someone who sees you every week will get a very good feel for how your meds are working or not working. It is another link between you and your psychiatrist. Your doctor may not ask the right question on the right day and you leave feeling great that you are on the right track. Then when you fall off that track you don't really know why and your doctor may not know either.
You can also bring someone close to you to a therapy session. Having someone close understand what is going on can be a huge help. They may sometimes be better able to see how you are doing than you can. It also opens another door to one more person that you can feel safe with and be completely open. Therapy is hard work and it can be scary, but the benefits go far beyond having someone to talk to. I hope you get there. Be well ![]() wheel |

I said therapy was hard work and can be scary because I have heard others have experienced it this way.
It can also feel great the second you enter the office knowing that you are taking such a huge step toward feeling better. ![]() |
