I would like to remind members that we have a wonderful tool here called the "ignore function". It's a wonderful, clever gift given to us to make the most of our online experience here at PC. If we ignore a member that's upsetting to us in any way, we will not see their posting or receive PM's from them. When going into chat, the same applies. In a self-help community, it can be a great tool for self-care. If there's an ongoing issue, it usually helps to put out the fire.

Let's remember that if someone triggers us, etc., or we just just flat out don't like them, it's our right and responsibility to do what we need to in order to get what we want and need here.

Every trigger can't be predicted (i.e. a huge trigger of mine was mustard...go figure). We can't assume that other members are going to agree with every post that we make. Some will disagree. We may feel that other members just don't like us, or we know that we just don't like them.

If we have issue with another member, and that member is posting/PM'ing/chatting within the guidelines but we still feel that we're taking it personally (even with cause), the wonderful tool of ignore sometimes is all we need to have a great day! "Ignore Function"

Thanks,

KD

I need an ignore function for chocolate - you can see that it's still there, but you can't read the [calorie] content.

There ya go. you do what you need to feel ok! "Ignore Function"

Pegasus, think of it as your own personal safety button to enjoy PC as much as you can. Sure there are going to be things you might see outside of the button, but isn't it great to know that when you do, all you have to do is click then PM a mod/admin?

Stop talking about ice cream and chocolate! Oprah told the story of the Dove Bar yesterday, and now I want one! LOL! I asked the bf to bring me some ice cream yesterday, but he didn't. I asked him today, and he says he'll think about it. *Rolls eyes* I know I shouldn't eat it, and I'm doing it less, and I am concerned about my weight, but I don't like someone telling me I can't have something. I'm an adult and can make my own decisions, right or wrong. Sorry, mini-rant there.

Just as I decided to try to stop eating so much junk, the grocery store I shop at started selling my favorite ice cream! I'd wanted them to get it in for over a year (but never contacted them to ask), and now that I'm trying to stop, they start selling it! Somebody's messin' with me! "Ignore Function"

Anyway, somebody send me a box of Dove Bars! "Ignore Function"
