Thanks for all your positive thoughts. I had a really good interview, felt comfortable and know i did the best I could. I didn't get the job, because the other candidate had more experience in teaching older students than I did. THere's nothing I can do about that (short of getting ajob in a different school!) But I really am OK with it; my aim was to get to the interview and I did that. Considering where I have been in the last year, that was a major achievement. I know i did the best I could at the interview, and I'm happy to be teaching where I am already.

I'm glad you're so positive about it, Caroline. It sounds like you did the best you could and that you accept somebody else got the job. Maybe there will be another chance to apply for another job later...

This is a good thing! Thank you It's good that you set that as a goal, that you achieved it, and that you are satisfied with achieving it (even though the full outcome wasn't all you wanted!)

Thanks, Silver,

There might be another job, I don't know - but I will think about applying if one comes up. This might give me the chance to put a bit of pressure onto the management to explain WHY I wanted to leave (pressure of work stuff); I'm told they were really anxious that I would get this post.

Thank you Sky. Yes, I see it as a good thing too. I'm not going to let it become a negative thing.
