Generation RX is a documentary that came out in 2008 looking at the effects of psychiatric medication, specifically on children. Although its focus is on the growth of medication prescribed to children, it also explores the drug industry at large, and gives some very interesting information behind the psychiatric and drug community.
A documentary well worth watching whether you are pro or anti drug. It can be found on Netflix. Try to be open minded about their side of it. I won't deny there's an obvious bias, but it is extremely well researched and put together using a variety of sources. [Potential Trigger]The trailer - |

Thanks for the suggestion, Drag! And for the link to the documentary on YT, Contrast. I'm always interested in learning up on this stuff. It keeps me motivated to avoid getting myself involuntarily drugged out. : )

The Marketing of Madness: The Truth About Psychotropic Drugs
The Drugging of our Children There are some full-length documentaries... Not the same one, however, since that one was about narcotic abuse. But these ones are pretty interesting. |

I've heard that many psychiatric drugs were never tested on children.
GlaskoSmithKlein recently (months ago) got a huge fine for getting people to prescribe paxil even though it had never been tested on children. They were also bribing docs to prescribe. I'm not sure which was the more severe offense or to what extent either was done. |
