Hey all. I wasn't quite sure what topic to put this under. For the past like 2 months, I've been feeling very spacey. When I explain it to people, I say it's like you took benadryl and you're tired and spaced out or any medicine that makes you drowsy/spacey. It's really bad and I don't know what to do. I can't focus. I don't feel like myself. I don't even feel like a human being. I'm just not present ya know? My mom thinks it's because I stopped taking my Cyclosporine but I didn't really do it correctly (didn't wean myself properly), so I'm feeling this way. I don't know what to think. I've been very depressed and lonely lately, but it hasn't shown up only since I've been feeling lonely and sad. I'm going to see a doctor on the 5th, but it's so bad that I've turned to the internet. Someone's gotta have an idea for me. Even just ANY ideas for how to ease the feeling. Anything will help me so so so much.
Thanks ![]()

I am sorry you aren't feeling well
![]() If it that uncomfortable and you cannot wait to see your MD, I would urge you to take a ride to the Urgent Care or ER to help ease your concerns. Please let us know how you are doing ![]() |

Hi katebabe622 - the first thing that popped into my head was withdrawal symptoms but i know nothing of Cyclosporine and whether it would cause such symptoms - especially ones that would go on for 2 months. I wouldn't wait for the appointment - your symptoms could get worse and impair your ability to function to an even greater extent so get yourself to a family doctor or the ER as soon as you can. All the best.

Cyclosporine is an immuno-suppressant drug, usually used to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ. I certainly hope that's not the case for YOU.
![]() But if you recently got off the med, I'm sure it's just the side effects from not properly weaning like you should. NEVER abruptly stop medicatiion. Some are very DANGEROUS to stop abruptly and have even resulted in death from doing that! ![]() Talk to your doctor when you go about this. In the meantime, this should stop in time -- just wait it out. Drink lots of liquids to help get it out of your system. I wish you the very best. Hugs, Lee ![]()

Hey guys. So I'm still feeling bad, probably worse than I was before. I consider going to the ER almost everyday now, but I know they won't be able to do anything for me. My doctor prescribed prozac and B12 pills yesterday, so hopefully that will do something. It's literally impossible to do things when I feel like this, so I gotta get better.

Lack of sleep + depression as I saw in your profile can really knock the tar out of ones energy and focus. You seem to be going through some things right now too. Have you considered perhaps speaking to a counsellor or therapist? Getting some feedback on a personal level about what might be troubling you could be of benefit. Even once a week you know? That and the Prozac/vittymin therapy might help you regain your feet faster.
If you don't mind me asking, has depression been an issue for you long term? Or is it something you recall developing and has increased in intensity lately? Hope you feel better. School at the best of times is a stress to be sure let alone what can pile up beyond. Perhaps let yourself relax a little knowing that something is now in place to help you. Let that knowledge take a little chunk out of any anxieties you might be feeling. Cheers kate Last edited by Anonymous32711; Oct 14, 2012 at 03:32 PM. |

Also, have you started any birth control pills etc. With women it is important to pay attention to "hormones" and birth control pills can have side effects that can change hormone levels leading to feeling low and not sleeping.
Just saying...I know it affected my daughter and there were some forms she just couldn't take. Open Eyes |

I've been going to therapy once a week lately. I'm really very hopeful about it. Also, yes I've been depressed for about 7 years I believe. It is a longterm, uphill battle for me.
No I haven't started or stopped my birth control. Thanks for the feedback guys.
