Personally, I think it's way too late, and I think, after losing his zillion-dollar contract with Paramount, he's doing as much damage control as he can!

I think it was too late as well. Brooke was gracious in the way she handled the subject on Leno. Leno being a friend of Cruise's I am sure had something to do with how this all came about. Judging by her body language when she & Leno spoke of it during the interview, she didn't seem all "too" overly comfortable about it, but accepted it as what it was. HMMMmmmm, me thinks, yes maybe Katie is having her own issues. As well as I think Tom has his own.

Bottom line, glad Brooke is doing well, and that she did not have the same issues with the birth of her second child. Tom Cruise Apology.. Is it too late?

As I understand it, his publicist made it very clear that he has NOT changed any of his opinions. He simply apologized for bringing Brooke Shields into it and for any hurt he may have caused her. Is there something else I missed?

I know I am being overly critical of Tom Cruise, but I don't think he would know depression if it hit him in his own face. I am sure he wouldn't ever acknowledge it if his wife would have any depression after her childbirth.

He seems to be so arrogant that his apologies don't even sound sincere. They sound like nothing more than a CYA statement even though it won't change the outcome to his contract. He seems to be so into himself & his narrow views of life that his arrogance doesn't let reality into his mind.

I think he is so messed up that he, himself needs some serious help.

I had never heard of post partum depression until I was hospitalized in the UCLA psych hospital. It was back in 1995 when I met a lady who was being given ECT as treatment for it. She went through one session & said she wouldn't go through it anymore & would have to find a different treatment method. I don't know how things ended up turning out for her, but she must have been pretty bad for them to try ECT to help her.

I think that Tom Cruise is so messed up that he needs some serious helphimself. It is really sad when someone doesn't know anything about something & talks out as if he is an authority on it. That is truely arrogant & pathetic.....yes, I am definitely opinionated about him. I used to like him as an actor, but then his real personality got in the way of that.
