I have things to do, but I'm not doing them!

I've been sleeping waaay too much and staying up waay too late.

Any tips on how to "get going"?

Would caffeine help? I should go drink some coffee.

actually, caffeine sounds like a bad idea, under the circumstances.

I would vote for some meditation.

Stop stressing out about what you haven't done. Just sit and be still for 5 minutes. Do some breathing. Feel your feelings - identify the feelings that you're experiencing. Is it anxiety? Pressure? Boredom? Don't punish yourself -- just identify them.

After sitting still for 5 minutes, focusing on your breathing, get a piece of paper and write down a plan for yourself, giving yourself some timelines.

Definitely make a point to get your sleeping schedule back on track.

Good suggestion! I have things to do

My sleep schedule is really messed up right now. I wake up at 3 pm and I go to bed at 4 am even though I'm not sleepy yet.

Tonight I'm going to skip sleeping and start my day early. Hopefully I'll be tired enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour and hopefully wake up before noon. I have things to do

Hi Green I have things to do

Do you exercise during the week at all (even a walk around the block where you live?)?

I just went through the exact situation. I was staying up all night and sleeping my day away which results in sleeping life away and the constant fatigue and unmotivation from the lack of life.

I finally got tired of it myself, what I did to make sure I was tired at a decent time in the evening was stay up all night long and wait till 10 pm. That way I could begin the process of waking up at a decent time. I don't recommend that because it actually took awhile to catch up from that all nighter and I felt more tired then ever because of it. But I do recommend setting your alarm earlier and earlier till you finally get your schedule set.

Just that small change in sleeping habits can change everything else. The day seems longer and you can get more done.

Good Luck and I hope it all works out for you.
