Biid (body identity integrity disorder) is something that I have and is different than bdd. It really depends on why someone thinks you have bdd. I compare BIID to more like transgender because you feel like you are in the wrong body, I feel like I should be in a wheelchair because my legs shouldn't work or be there as well as my left arm. Bdd is where you feel something is wrong with your body as far as I know like a scar or acne or whatever it is.

I believe I had/have this. From what I understand it quite commonly accompanies eating disorders. I had anorexia nervosa, and I definitely experienced this at the time. It has simmered down now, there is definitely hope, if it's an option you may want to try therapy. There are also some BDD documentaries on youtube, they mostly cover severe cases, but it may give you some insight on the disorder. Best of luck.
