*General ramble, moan about work/life balance and boss being a b.*

So I had to go into work on Sunday (day off) as an inspector had turned up at the home so I had to be there and yes I was there for 8 and a half hours. Having not eaten which is not unusual for me, too busy to eat. I've had this fluey cold thing for ages.

And I don't get paid for overtime so the boss knows I need to take time off and if I don't take that time off real quick the boss says I lose it completely. I don't think it is right that I don't get paid for overtime but that is the way it is.

So I work my bottom off on Monday and on Tuesday and today I'm feeling really rough. I told my work colleagues how ill I was feeling and they asked the boss to send me home but no she wouldn't even think of doing that. So I soldier on and have a flipping asthma attack and still carry on. The boss then goes on saying how she never gets time off and how she expects me to work all day Saturday and Saturday night aswell. Oh that means doing an 8 day week when there is only 7 days in it and I only get paid for doing 5! So, there I am dying with flu and asthma attack and also not having found time to eat yet again... I tell her I have got to take a day off! I even offered her the choice of Thursday or Friday. I would have prefered Friday but I happen to know that is a super busy day so I suggest Thursday. She doesn't answer me and gives me a filthy look. All my colleagues are urging me on and say loudly that they hope I have a really good day off tomorrow because they feel I deserve it!

So I am taking the GD day off tomorrow!

Good, you have to be a fighter. And (((pegasus))) you have to eat, you can't expect your body to heal and get better from the flu if you don't give it nourishment. Please take care of yourself, there is a need for someone like you, you are not replaceable you know. You should be taking vitamins too.

Put it like this - I would of had to phone in sick if I'd hadn't taken the day off. I've taken it easy today.

I'm greatly in favor of days-off, opposed when you're sick though. So did you give me whatever I caught? I'm really really sick, had flu shot ... guess this is an escapee strain.

I put this photo on my iPad
I'm having a day off, GDI!
along with Mozart for Babies and meditated and got about 20 mins respite

Take care of yourself, pegs.
