My case manager is coming this morning and she just called and informed me that they have an intern she'd like to bring along. I wasnt up to "meeting a new person " in the "field" today... but HOW do you say no when they need experience? My case manager is used to the little things I cant do around the house because of my back and understands. I just dont want to feel like I dont do my job here too.

I woke up with a headache and now its gotten worse.... grrrrrrrrr UGH!!!!

I haven't had that happen with a case manager, but I just hate it when my Dr says, "Oh, by the way, I have a resident here today. You don't mind if he/she just checks you, too, do you?"

((((((((((( Bethy )))))))))))))

I'm sure you'll charm her socks off!

Hugs,

Jan

I am really curious......what is a case manager for. I know you will do just fine since we always seem to live through these things. But I don't want to minimize the situation either.....I am sure that there has to be alot of anxiety when someone comes into your own home to ask questions & observe things....I would be so scared I think I would run away & hide.

I wish you the best of luck.....just remember to breathe......(a stupid comment that one of my previous psychologists always told me).

Good luck,
Debbie

Well this is the first I've been able to sit down to write anything. They came. The intern was very nice ... but there are things going on here that I was not able to open up about in front of her. My case manager told me that the intern could step out if I wasnt comfortable and I needed to talk .. But I again felt that defeated the purpose of her coming along. The CM also said that I could have said no to her coming along too. Again .. I felt that they cant learn w/o coming along. She is worried about things so she is coming back on Monday to check in with me. I told her I wasnt in a bad way.. just overwhelmed, and when I get overwhelmed I have been hitting and missing my morning and night meds. I've written myself notes in different places now to remind myself. LOL... sometimes I wonder if I am not the one with Alzheimers instead of my dad lol.

Debbie.. my case manager is like a liason .. so to speak for my psychiatrist and T to kinda check in on me here at home to see how things are. How I am functioning etc. They get assigned here in Ohio I guess when you see a psychiatrist. Hope this helps you out.
