Past 10 months, when trying to speak I will start speaking gibberish. It happens bi-weekly..some times more than that. I'm not consciously doing it, people laugh at me at work. It happens randomly. More often when I haven't been talking and I try to get my first word out, gibberish. I spend a few seconds trying to figure out what I was talking about in the first place, find it hard to pronounce basic words. Sometimes mid conversation.
I'm 21 years old and I've never had this problem before the last 10 months. I've also been having symptoms of various mental disorders. Is this worth mention to my psychiatrist? I've met with her once and I forgot to mention this. I told her my other symptoms and she said I may be bipolar but she wants to meet more before making a diagnosis. |

Mentioning it to any doctor seems like a good idea. There could be a physical cause for it. Hope it turns out well

I agree. There could be a physical problem. So, I definitely think you should tell your psychiatrist or some doctor.

I am surprised that anyone would laugh at that. You should tell your doctor about right away. I'm in no way a medical opinion, but I do know that speaking gibberish is a symptom of stroke/mini stroke. doesn't mean that's what it is, but it points to a real physical issue.
