I'm having trouble focusing on meticulous tasks like taking notes or answering questions. It's been affecting my school work and I'm not sure what is causing it. And, I say this only to explain my confusion, I am quite intelligent so I can answer and analyse these subjects with ease but when I sit down to write it out or type it up and its like my engine stalls, I can't explain why but it just stops.
I have received mental treatment before for OCD, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, specific phobias, depression, and conversion disorder.
This sight pegged me as manic, bipolar, and possible ADD but I don't know how accurate that is.
I'm scared that I'm making all this up in my head and I'm just being lazy and finding excuses for myself.
Does anyone have any theories or ways to figure it out.

Your not making it up. You've had trouble with anxiety and depression in the past, and lack of focus is a symptom of both of those. I read a lot. When I start having trouble focusing on my books or start finding other things to do instead, it usually means my anxiety troubles are about to rear their ugly heads. Try some relaxation techniques like meditation. Maybe talk to your doctor.
I hope you feel better soon.

Welcome to PC, Windmills.
I agree - if you're noticing an issue with focus, it's likely the mental health stuff. I have the same issue. I'm bright, I'm a quick learner, etc, but the last few years (since mental illness reared its head again) my concentration and focus have gone downhill. I'm going to be starting college in just a few short weeks so we'll so how it affects that.
I also saw something on here that mentions that if we spend a lot of time on the internet it can interrupt our pathways. Don't know if that's an issue for you. I know it is for me.
Regardless of what the issue is, I hope that you find a resolution and are able to get what you need out of this site.
