I read a very disurbing but very interesting book the other day. I wary of posting it because it has a lot to do with child abuse. It is very, very triggering if you have been abused as a child (not sexually but physically), but it has opened my eyes to a new world of hope. The book is called "My story - A child called it, the lost boy and a man named Dave." It is the story of the third worse case of child abuse reported in california. This might not be such a good book for those who have been abused, but rather for those wishing to know more about it and understand the effects of it better. This man has made an amazing journey and recovery and the book ends positive. It made me realise that there are so many kids who go through this kind of thing and they have no where to turn to. Children are so vulnerable and usually the only world they know is the one at home... where the abuse takes place and they have such a distorted reality about it! It's time someone took care of the kids!!!!!
