Hi all, I thought you would get a kick out of this story - since it's not a serious story about being bipolar, I didn't put it in that thread. And I thought a lot of people would understand why it was funny.

I have hallucinations when I'm getting severly manic - it's always been a radio playing very quietly in my head, constantly. It's terribly irritating. Ever since I started Concerta, I've been very cautious about warning signals that my mania might be coming back.

The other day at work, I was horrified when I realized that I could hear that radio again! I started to immediately write down a list of things I needed to do about it - call my doctor, possibly up my dose of Zyprexa, stop taking Concerta, etc. I was kind of panicked about it, actually.

Just then, I hear my coworker say to another, "Would you PLEASE turn off those headphones! They're really loud and I can hear it."

Suddenly, the hallucinations turned off. The coworker said "thank you!".

Whoops! Funny Story So much for panicking. LOL.

some of it's magic
some of it's tragic
but i had a good life all the way......

Hi-
I loved it! I get sounds like alarm clocks bells, pagers, phones, that come from outside my head in my perception, so sometimes I am answering the phone when it is not ringing, or ignoring it when it is.

Another story:

I just thought I was hearing voices again...two muffled voices of men yelling "HELP!"! Startled me so, that I stood right up! And, <kerplop>, out from my belly folds fell two short men I had met on an elevator last week!?! I had wondered where they went.....

I fed them both lasagna, and sent them on their way. I'm thinking it's time to rent a power washer and find out what else is in there....?
