I joined here last week but I stil havent figuered out what's up with me, you know what I'd call it so I thought I'd post in here!

I'am a 27-year-old man and I spend what I think is probably an unhealthy amount of time on the internet in chatrooms and message boards and the like! I have made friends with a lot of girls around the ages of 17-20 and last week, on MSN Messenger, the best friend of one of these girls told me to leave her alone and said that I was sick for trying to arrange to meet her and that I shouldnt manipulate these girls so much!

Now I know that I dont manipulate, or at least dont feel I do! Anbd I jsut wanna be friends with these girls, nothing more. However, I feel I may be getting too close to some of them as when I feel they arent talking to me I sometimes get a bit angry! I know I shouldnt, especially at my age but I cant help it!

If I see them talking to other people I get upset and then have a go at them and it ends up being an argument!

Could someone please help me by telling me what they think I may have, if anything! I'm really up and down a lot too over the last few weeks!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Robin!

(((((((((((((( Robin ))))))))))))))

Welcome to PC!
Do you have a girlfriend? Maybe you are secretly looking for someone you can share your deep thoughts and emotions with... that's what motivated me at first to join chatrooms. I felt alone... I wanted someone to love me... but you can't find that in chatrooms really...

I don't think anthying is wrong with you, maybe you are just impatient? Maybe you are just a man? lol!

I don't know.... but PC is a nice place to be! The friends I made here have always been there for me when I needed them and it gives you the opportunity to give back, to support others and that gives my life a little meaning. I hope you stay...

Hugs
Tanya

It is natural... It's all about relationships and maybe you get attatched too fast. People on the net aren't always serious and will just disappear one day... In RL relationships work differently, so don't apply those principles to the net. I don't have the answers you are looking for, but it sounds as if you have a need for closeness, a need to be with someone who thinks you are special, but the net is the wrong place to look, although it's much easier than facing the dating game!

Irishboy....the words of widom that Tanyagrave gave you are perfect...Relationships on the internet seldom turn into real life relationships...So try not to get angry with the girls...It is just a game to some people...A way to get attention...Hope you find someone in real life to share your hopes and dreams with...It is truly so much better!! Until you do...we are here to give you some support if you want it!!! There are alot of caring people at PC...
