My second go-round at selling my T-shirts on eBay didn't prove fruitful, sorry to say. I'd like to ask those of you who looked at the T-shirts to take a poll I posted in Classified to help me figure out what I need to change.

The pictures are posted in the gallery, too, if you'd like to take a look and give me your opinion.

I need your complete honesty and opinions in order to make the necessary changes, please! A little help please!

Many thanks in advance!

Tomy, can I be really honest??? I'm so sorry hon, I love the flowers, but the tiny bows on the sides are not my style at all. I know there are a lot of ladies that would love them, but maybe is becuase I'm still in my 30's dressing like in my 20's.
Let me know if I can be of any help!
Sorry if I ofend you, I don't mean that at all!

I asked for opinions, Biplol. You're not the first to not like those bows. A little help please!

Thank you!

Hi Tomi,

I didn't know that you were making T's to sell on ebay either. They are very pretty.

I guess for me too, the little ribbon rose flowers are cute, but not my style either. I know that now I am going through all my cloths (now that I am packing up to move) I have found a few shirts like that. I found that those kind of flowers don't stand up well over the years & get rather crushed. I do like the beading & sequiens that you have on the T's. You might consider making some with just that kind of designs on them.

I have noticed that what sells mostly lately is keeping it pretty but simple. I think if you try some different things with what you are doing now, you will come up with what attracts people. I know that when I look at the cloths on HSN, I see all types of ornamentation. Some looks like the glitter that the rock stars wear, some are simple & elegant. There are people who like all the different styles so it is a matter of finding what sells the most.

Keep going...you will be successful, I am sure of it.

((((((((( Tomi )))))))))

I wear purple striped pants on a good day... I don't think I should give fashion advice!!!!!!!! I do like them, it's kinda different... Maybe you are just aiming at the wrong market?

A little help please! A little help please! I thought that's what I was doing. LOL

Ok! Ok! A little help please! The bows on the sleeves have to go! I get it! LOLOL I just don't like MY sleeves down to the bend of the elbow. I've seen women with the sleeves rolled up but thin and I think it makes their arms more attractive. So I was wrong! LOL I guess it's the skinny arms that looke better that way. A little help please! No more bows!

SeptemberMorn......
As you were asking for opinions I will offer mine....I was partners in a Gallery for many years.....and have been a buyer for many years.......

I will think of you as I would one of my artists.......this is what I would tell you......from my years of experience....

The biggest thing I would say is to purchase natural fiber shirts.....before my accident I had a published line of clothing.......I pre-washed all of my shirts and dried them in the dryer....so they were true to size.....

The MAJORITY of people purchase natural fiber T-shirts.....

If you have a tax ID number you can purchase your, shirt stock, mail order and for wholesale prices.....there are companies that manufacture clothing just for the decorative artist.....some do not require a large $ minimum order.....

Everything I do is one of a kind......I would often purchase base garments at close out racks at higher end stores.....the fiber content was finer than most stores and at closeout prices, sometimes I beat wholesale costs.......of course I could not stock up on same style garments, purchasing in that manner............

I liked your artwork.........it was very well done and had great movement of design.......I too, am not the ribbon on the sleeve kind of gal....but there are people that are.....they are a smaller niche than the mass appeal....I think you would do more of a turn over, of that kind of garment if you classified it in the Victorian section.....that selection of buyer is very into ribbon and bead embellishement......

My suggestion if you were to continue with the ribbon would be to use silk embroidery ribbon.....I couldn't see it too clearly, maybe you did, but it didn't seem to lay like silk ribbon.....it hangs different and you can knot the ends and they stay knotted.....also, you can revitalize flattened silk ribbons by just spritzing with water.......

Here is just a thought for extending your work....painted silk scarves.....there was an artist in the Gallery that painted on silk scarves and she sold steadily........purchasing her silk scarf bases wholesale with an almost endless supply of colors.........

I am reading my words over and I seem, quite possibly, more opinionated than you might have cared for....but I was involved hands on for many many years, paying attention to what people purchased, what things in my Gallery sold, and what things were returned to the artists............

Often it is just getting your product marketed in the correct manner...........

Blessings to you.......and your endeavors.........

Hummer, thank you so very much for your gentle and profesional critique! It is greatly appreciated! It's an honor to be thought of as "one of your artists." A little help please!

I had considered entering my shirts under the Victorian category but I suppose I didn't even look in that area because after all, it's T-shirts I'm selling. I need to raise my sights!

I hope you don't mind if I ask you for more details in PM. I feel like I've been given wings to fly!

Again, Thank You So Very Much! A little help please!
