Elder's Meditation of the Day - September 18
"I walk in and out of many worlds."
-- Joy Harjo, CREEK/CHEROKEE

In my mind are many dwellings. Each of the dwellings we create ourselves - the house of anger, the house of despair, the house of self pity, the house of indifference, the house of negative, the house of positive, the house of hope, the house of joy, the house of peace, the house of enthusiasm, the house of cooperation, the house of giving. Each of these houses we visit each day. We can stay in any house for as long as we want. We can leave these mental houses any time we wish. We create the dwelling, we stay in the dwelling, we leave the dwelling whenever we wish. We can create new rooms, new houses. Whenever we enter these dwellings, this becomes our world until we leave for another. What world will we live in today?

Creator, no one can determine which dwelling I choose to enter. No one has the power to do so, only me. Let me choose wisely today.

A fresh perspective!

I don't know if I can post in any of those groups / forums because I am not a member of them. Feel free to do so though if you are a member.

On Facebook, I follow the postings of Big Jim Wheatley. Often, his postings are fantastic.
Thanks for this!

I really enjoyed reading this and thank you unhappyguy. We often hear people say I want to be happy or don't know why I can't be happy. Happiness is elusive sometimes and what makes one happy isn't the same for others. There isn't a completely perfect life. I feel this is the only way I've survived these last 8 yrs - making life tolerable with mind tricks like this.

Dear Unhappyguy,

Joy a spiritual warrior,
A Native American Feminist poet, musician and painter.
Speaking fluidly about women's history from her perspective and cultural background, descending from 2 tribes Creek and Cherokee.
Unhappyguy & Her post 8/18 paints a beautiful landscape of understanding.

She also speaks about the feminist movement 2 wave in the 70's, we have not reached our potential and need to continue the fight of suffrage.
If we could blend the essence of the native american understanding that we are all one with nature, there is no "i" and aspects of Buddhisms philosophy in healing we can cure this diseased state of mind and nature.

We can overcome the harm we have done to this planet, our oceans, and ourselves.
We can uncover the root causes the mind of disorders live in and create anew.
We can overcome the suppressiveness of poverty, the disease that creates greed.
We can give up the perspective that divides and teach our children how caring and sharing comes full circle.
We can come together and create utopia when our minds/souls/nature are one with all.
Thanks for the post unhappyguy, very insightful!
Sincerely, Happiedasiy

thanks, guy~ i have posted them, and all you have to do to become a 'member' is send a PM to the group creator and say you would like to join. i think a couple of them are even simpler than that, you just say: Join.

hope you find some happiness here and there ~
