Excorcism doesn't apply to psychosis. Besides, excorcism is serious and not just something to randomly tell people to do as a problem solver for everything.

but then...the curious cat in me would be unable to resist following this specters' lead.
Follow to the logical conclusion of the thought. It is your head that is creating this. What do you think it means...? Maybe there is a comforting message at the end of this.

Hello, KFinch1128.

Am I crazy??

You could post a variation of this post in the Sleep Issues and Dreams Interpretations forum for more feedback. As I understand it, dreams are symbols that reflect the brain reorganizing memories.

Others will have different opinions, but sometimes you gain insight from the feedback. Often, the dreams that may seem to be negative, are actually challenges that can be positive. I hope you find things here helpful and supportive at PC forums.

Something had to cause you to suddenly start having these experiences. Probably some sort of stress. Some talk therapy would probably be a real good idea. I'll bet the source of your stress would come out in therapy.

I dream about my sister that died and other people that died that i knew, don't know what it means but maybe you're just having memories or they may be angels now, i know it sounds dumb, but i believe they watch over us.

I agree with Rose. You said it was causing you to be afraid and that's what concerns me.

Sounds like psychosis to me too, although I'm no expert. I would make an appointment with a psychiatrist. Chances are, if it is psychosis, an antipsychotic med would greatly help.

Exorcism doesn't apply to psychosis because exorcism doesn't apply to reality.

People can have visions outside of being psychotic or on drugs or being haunted. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes people hear or see things that aren't there and are not actually psychotic.

Stress, guilt,unpredictability- all of these and more can do strange things, including induce visual and auditory anomalies.

I agree that seeking some counsel on this is a great idea since it is causing anxiety. I don't agree that the very first stop should be a pharmacy to "make it go away". There are likely issues other than a brain glitch here and swallowing a pill will not help any of those underlying issues.

Secondary recommendation?
Talk to a neurologist if this is suddenly happening out of nowhere, just to be safe.
Thanks for this!

Okay I started hearing voices and thinking my husband was an ax murderer after taking a prescribed antibiotic that had traces of opiates. Taking any new medications? In any case hugs sent your way!

this so much. Death of somebody is a trauma. APs will only mask the underlying issues...

imho not every seeing things is "omg, psychosis, you need meds". Sometimes it's your inner issues materialized.

My experience with ghosts is... to talk to them and lead them out. And they go... if you are ready to let them go. Is there some unfinnished business between you and them?

That is a symptom of psychosis. I know, been there. I would suggest you go to seek some medical advice. It is very scary and upsetting going through this, but it can be treated. Take care of yourself. Best wishes.
