Many have probably heard of these sites and maybe visited them, I'm talking of 'The Hunger Site' and its related sites. They say that with one click you can feed a hungry person, or help towards a mammogram, or help educate a person. I don't understand how they work. They say that every click is free but how can that help them raise money? Are they doing a good thing or a bad thing? Does anybody know anything about them?

i think they pay for this through advertising. by clicking certain links, there may be adverts attatched, so they use some of the money from the adverts to pay for the relief of world hunger.

thats my theory, wheter its the genuine case or not i dont know. but if you look at that site, down the right hand side of the site there are adverts. thats how PC is run, with the money from ads.

hope this answers your question

YES..... for every link / banner that is clicked on inside the Website the Owner gets a certain amount in $$$ (or cents) for each click.
Like DocJohn was explaining to us in his latest post on how he can do all that he does for us here on PC for FREE.

i get what your question is all about, there was a tv program in the uk all about it, maybe you saw it,

there are sites ranging from everything from cosmetic surgery for people who need it, accidents and such, and people who have no insurance, to people who ask for say breast, facial, liposuction ect because they think they need it.
i will let you guess who gets the most support

my take on it is i would only consider contributing to a cause i believed in and cosmetic surgery is NOT on my list of prioreties unless it is essensial to the LIFE of the person involved not there appearance
