I was laying in my two year olds bed waiting for his little snore when I thought to myself.....Jeez I need a break from reality, life, work, parenting, marriage, and college.....pretty much all of it, the entire cooble...ya know.

Then to amuse myself a bit I thought well mooping in depression and suicide is definitely not for me, or anybody else in that matter.....what if we were like electronics , something that needed to be charged with a happy battery. I'd like to be turned off and charged, even if it's for just a few hours....it would truly be nice, convenient, and beneficial.

I just wanted to post this to mainly babble, and ask how you would take your breaks if you could?

If I could take a break whenever I needed it...I would be sitting on a big rock at the beach...listening to the waves rolling in...It would be a nice sunny day...but not too hot...and I would have my husband sitting next to me...If I had 15 minutes of this every day...I think it could be my therapy...lol

This kind of makes me think of the new Adam Sandler movie called "Click".

what is my break if I could - well for me there is no if I could because I do and have all my life taken breaks from my life - its called dissociation and being DID. I was not aware of 95-98% of my life. So much so that now I have to work 98% of the time 24/7 at staying aware.

I would love to take a break and snuggle in a cozy chair by the ocean with a bit of shade listening to the waves ... and sip spice tea.

my time out would definately be me sat on a secluded beach, with palm trees and a pure, clear sea lapping up gently onto the golden white sands. the sun beaming down on top of me and clear blue skies. with music playing gently around me, maybe something acoustic...yea, acoustic...and me just sitting there, on this desert island with nobody around for miles. just me, the music and the bliss. nice.

tut, now i have to get out of my imagination and back to reality lol. shame.

I wanted to just put my head on a shelf for awhile lately so I hear ya. My first thought is the ocean in the sunshine too but I did sit for a few moments on my neighbours rock wall yesterday basking away. It was heaven for a little while. Those moments are just so fleeting. I wish I could catch them in a jar for the down days.
