He really does! He goes to the bathroom and rolls some off and eats it. Does anyone else's animal eat strange things like this? Does anyone have any idea why my dog does this? lol

My cousin's dog takes all the tissues out of the tissue box, shreds them and strews them all over the house...She says if she forgets to put them away, she comes home to a house full of snow...lol

My childhood dog was fond of eating Kleenex as well. I don't know what prompts dogs to do ANYTHING, LOL. She used to chew on the kitchen chairs, too, so my dad put Tabasco sauce on the legs -- and she kept chewing away! Who knew dogs had a taste for hot sauce!

My male cat is obsessed with rubber bands in that he'll "dig them out" from under a pile of stuff. I have to remember to keep them on inside doorknobs (inside of closet doorknob) so he can't know they're there. Unfortunately they do occasionally "fall" and then he finds them.
My girl cat eats photographs. Must be some chemical on them. Is your toilet paper "scented"? Maybe your dog likes a certain scent? I've heard of (and watched on Emergency Vets show on TV) dogs eating rocks but not toilet paper. __________________ "Never give a sword to a man who can't dance." ~Confucius |

I had a dog once that used to eat balloons and socks. I had to take him to the vet because he couldn't poo and then he poo'ed out two socks right in the vets room! __________________ Pegasus Got a quick question related to mental health or a treatment? I suppose vets have seen it all, but man, that must have been embarrassing!
Animals are just funny critters. Of course, that's probably what THEY think of humans! LOL |

I had a Pekepoo once, just a pup, who ate some dental floss.. She became very ill, and I took her to the vet, who said it was winding thru her intestines and tightening up. I paid $700 to have it removed! Big mistake on my part, allowing dental floss to fall on the floor. The vet also said horses will do this and eat the string off hay and it will also wind thru their intestines.

Ooooh, there's a good reason for not getting a pet ... I could afford to feed them now, but vet bills! Owie!

I got the same problem. Toilet paper and kleenex all over the house if I'm not careful. I thinks its when they get bored. My Shitz tsu dicovered that there was usually a kleenex box beside the bed and started jumping up and walking across to get it.

Well, I think there's a difference between tearing it up and playing with it, and eating it.
If they are eating it, they need more fiber in their diet. OR he could be hungry. Try adding in some treats during the day. In the meantime, close the bathroom door or put the paper up on the counter That could get expensive, and quite embarrassing for needy times! Dogs tend to treat themselves, just like when they eat grass they are trying to either settle their stomach or make themselve vomit up something that isn't sitting well. __________________ |
