Do you guys struggle with psyching yourselves out sometimes? Like if you are pretty sure at times you know or believe something, like you love your parents... but the mood disruptions cause your reality to shift? And you don't even know what is real anymore? You're pretty sure you love your parents, but you can't feel it and you're not even sure if you believe it anymore? I'm just using parents as an example

Yup, about all kinds of things. I think this is common. I know a lot of things intellectually are "white" but I view them as "black". I guess with me, and this is probably a common thing, I tend to take such a negative view of everything that I zero in on the little bit of bad among the field of good, and that gets magnified all out of proportion.

Oh...yes But I'm sure there is some reality (as in real, merited feeling/thoughts) there as well.

Yup I am my best doctor too. I am convinced I am better at psychoanalyzing myself then any professional. I've been treating my self successfully for the past 30 years. There are moments when I am not sure and I hold off final opinion until I'm more sure or clear headed. Aside from you using your parents as an example I think I understand what you mean and have answered according to my understanding of what you mean.

i psyche myself all the time and it ruins everything for me. it affects my job it affected my relationships with others. i am always unhappy. i keep isolated from others because they say that i bring them down. please i reallly need help i live in belize and we have so psychotherapists and the doctors tend to misdiagnose and mistreat patients of depression. i had one friend be prescribed sleeping pills! the other problem is that here everyone in the clinic is privy to private discussions you have with the doctor. i really need therapy i have a family history of depression and i don't have anyone i can truly reach out. please.

People without severe mental disorders psych themselves out. Life is a drama and involves lots of acting at times which can really throw a monkey wrench into your intentions and plans. Like conforming at work involves lots of acting: laughing when you're expected to laugh, avoid saying certain things, avoid certain behaviors, etc. Before you know it you've arrived at some place and you're not exactly sure how you got there.

Well I can at times get myself too worked up over something, and also over think things.

sometimes I analyze myself so much and realize the things I've seen with the two eyes on my face and then I start thinking about what he and he and she have seen with her eyes and I wonder could this all be real.
I feel so freaked out by life.
by myself.
by reality.
