Is it possible to see lots and lots of people whom you have never seen, even in pictures suddenly? Sometimes I close my eyes, I would get a picture of a person, and I would assume some name for searching, and in some cases I have found the exact person in my thoughts. I don’t know if it is possible or not and I don’t have any intention to lie. Is it hallucination or something? Then how that person’s picture exists?

As i get older i forget alot of people i used to know an hang around with, even old boyfriends, although i'm married now for 18 years, and a persons face will flash in my head and i'll try so hard to remember who the person was, and later in the day i'll remember their name. I think we have info in our minds that as we gain more and more as we get older, we forget things because there is no room in the brain to keep all the old stuff and filter out the past and add new info, while maybe that is why we forget things as our brains can only hold so much info, especially if you have a mental illness. That is just my take on this issue, i'm no doc or t but that is just what i came up with.

Without getting to in depth the answer is yes, it's quite possible.

Is it a hallucination? Not really, it's a perception of your mind.

How does that person's picture exist in the eye of your mind? Could be numerous reasons, none of which mean you're going crazy (or in my case, crazier )

Long and really, really complicated story short, you're mind carries imprints with it. Imprints of people can appear to you as images and even names, people you don't feel you've ever met. Nothing bad to worry about or even be too concerned about.

Now, if you're watching television and the family dog starts talking to you about taking the car and driving to the moon (or worse) ... then maybe it's time to check the meds.

Yes, it happens to me to and I don't think it's an hallucination. We are saturated with images on TV and in magazines and on the streets, customers etc. Our brain keeps images and manipulates the features. It is bizarre when you see someone in your mind at night who feels like a stranger in your brain! But they are probably someone you've seen at one point.

I have a similar thing happen where I'll know the answer to some trivia/l question and have no idea where I know it from or it will be dragged suddenly from my childhood mind where it has been dormant 60 years, etc. I do not believe we are in "control" of anything; our bodies, minds, etc. are doing their own thing and "we" are just along for the ride.
