I was sitting at my keyboard yesterday and spilled my soda on it. Well now not all my keys work. Do any of you know a way to get them to work again? I miss my shift key and other letters of the alphabet.

Sorry, I sure don't know any real cure for that if it's affected the connections... have you lifted the keys that don't work, to see if the drink clogged with dust that might have been under there? Keyboards can be one of the least expensive peripherals...good thing eh?

We had a keyboard replaced on a laptop at work. They even came out to install it. It only took a few minutes. I don't know what they charged but I am sure you could take it in somewhere too.

When this happened to my family (I spilled Mt. Dew on the Comp) we had to remove all of the keys and soak them in soapy water and while they were soaking we wiped down the keyboard inside and out.

Good Luck....................... A Q for the group

Can you remove the keys? I think rhap is right, you should try cleaning the whole thing.
