Saturday morning... our son was in a terrible mood! He started to hit his sister and I had to remove him from the kitchen... so she could eat in peace... Whilst I was "dragging" him out to the hall... I stumbled and fell... Well... he hit his head on the floor and I got my left foot in a kind of strange position. We both screamed!
Then I had to put ice on my son's head and see that he was ok. My foot hurt oh soooo much!

This evening I went to the ER, because the pain went worse and the toe all blue, red and purple...
The took x-rays... and I got to see the pics... my toe is broken. It'll take about a month to heal... Not nice!
So... being still... and having to keep an eye on my son at the same time... it'll be difficult. I can't drive... boooring!

Otherwise this has been a very interesting day. We've been at a lecture about Asperger and Autism, from morning until late afternoon. We got some new very good ideas to try, working with our son. It was concentrated on how to approach kids and how to communicate with them. Three ways of communication: verbal, visual (with pictures) and written words.
We will also buy the computer program, the lecturer has created together with a few others.
It was a very good lecturer, who has got a lot of knowledge working with kids having Asperger, Autism, ADHD.... so on...

Ok... just some piece of information about what's going on in my life right now. Without you- my friends- life would feel even harder. Thank you for all your support! I hope I can give it back to you, in caring about you!

Over and out

So sorry to hear about you broken toe, Poetry.
I know how hard it is to have a painful situation like that, as I fell recently and couldn't walk without the aid of a walker!
As for foot injuries, did they do anything like setting it, or is it just to be kept still and heal on its own?
Healing thoughts,
Patty
