I've been in 2 car accidents in the past month within 10 days of each other. The first accident was rather serious, it happened on the Interstate and I was rearended by a 18 year old boy in an acura and it pushed me into the car ahead of me... basically resulting in a five car pile up. I have whiplash and I got a cut and bruise on my arm and bruises on my hip from the seat belt. My whole trunk was destroyed sending all of the contents flying across the interstate. Needless to say my car was totaled, it was a 1994 Geo Prizim. I was just talking to my parents about how I loved it even though it was old and wouldn't be able to part with such a well running problem free car! Anyhow...amazing how fast things change. I was able to get a loan... with my dad as a co-signer and I got a 2005 Chevy Impala. I am so happy with it and it's actually in my name, I'm so proud about that, I did all of the work to get the car by myself. Fast forward one week since I got my car, I had a slight fender bender turning into a parking lot. It dented up my front left wheel well pretty good and will cost over $2,000 to fix. I called the cops but they said they were busy and since there were no injuries they'd "rather not" come to the scene. That was a mistake as I have been getting threatening phone calls from the person's insurance company who hit me. I feel like I have the WORST luck and now I feel like I'm going to get hit constantly when I'm driving. It's like how I felt when I first started driving 7 years ago, it's horrible! Sorry about the venting I just wanted to share, my mom thinks that I'm "being too negative" about the situation... but I don't think so.

You can and must call your department of motor vehicles and fill out an accident report. If you need help ask you insurance agent to assist. This must be filed with DMV and with the other person's insurance. Was it your fault or theirs? Your not doomed, you are alive and it's a pain in the neck but you are alive. Metal, just metal, and plastic, and fiberglass. By the way I would have been upset losing the prism as well, so good on gas! And reliable.

All bad things come in threes.... I can imagine how frustrating it must be to keep on having accidents... it's not because you are incompetent, it's just that... an accident... don't look for more in it.
