At times, I become faint, dizzy, shaky, and incredibly hungry, and recently, I took my blood pressure when I was like this. Systolic was fine, but diastolic was at 49, which is pretty low, since below 60 is considered low blood pressure. Apparently a vitamin B deficiency can cause this, and vitamin B deficiency can also cause depression. Has anyone discovered a connection? Could I not have a mental illness, but a vitamin deficiency that manifests as depression?

It's possible…I'm taking medication that lowers my already low blood pressure. I've gotten to the point where almost anything makes me dizzy and I shake too much to do anything detailed with my hands. I'm rarely hungry though and I often have to force myself to eat, so I don't know about that.
Your thyroid or something could also be out of whack. Or it could be a medicine side effect. |

Have you had your Vitamin D level checked? Low vitamin D can have a effect on depression although I don't know of a direct connection with blood pressure, but wanted to mention it anyways...
