Just letting everyone know I am still here. Just haven't been on PC for awhile. I started a new job that I love. I am still with the same company but different franchise owners. Trying to become healthier since losing my mother to a heart attack almost 2 weeks ago. My brother, sister, and I reconciled our differences. I am going to check in more often. Kind of hard to do in the middle of tax season, but it's what I do.

((((Aunt Donna))))

Sorry that your mother died from a surprise heart attack. Hope that you can make this sad negative into a positive experience. It's good that you and your siblings had the capability to forgive one another. I'm sure that it wasn't an easy task at all!

Very best wishes to you.

I'm discovering holding grudges aren't good at all for your mental well-being. Life is too short to let things get to you. I almost missed out on knowing some nieces. Yes, I am a professional aunt but I admit had my favorites and shunned the others. I personally let the girls know I was sorry for the way I've treated them. I know that they are only 14, 12, and 11 , but I have to set an example for them. Now, my husband has let me know that is four nieces that will be graduating from high school back to back. We have a 16 year old niece, also, yes, one of the favorite. Anyway my husband figured up how much we spent on the oldest niece (age 24) when she graduated high school. We gave her cash and helped with the down payment on a car. We'll be saving up some money now because he is thinking around $2000 a child at least. Guess who is going to be the popular aunt and uncle? LOL. We just want to be a part of their lives and do what my mom would have done for her grandchildren.
