Well, first off, my social anxiety and depression have really lifted alot! I still get extremely amxious and shake whilst meeting new people but I managed to overcome it for one special person who I've now been in a relationship with for five months. He's very supportive, especially when I experience anxiety attacks.

Anyway, I started college. First day I had an anxiety attack so extreme that I haf to go home to spend the day at home to calm down (after seeing the councellors who were very polite and suggested that I try Bach rescue remedy, which works a treat!). I'm now settled in quite well, although I haven't been able to make any new close friendships.

But here's why I'm back. Recently I've not be able to sleep too well, yet I always feel tired. I get extremely moody/angry easily (which is really hurting my partner), I keep having small anxiety attacks with no known cause at random intervals, I really want to just curl up and stay home all day everday, and just today my appetite has managed to reach zero (after small reductions over the past few weeks). Could anyone help in my understanding to what's going on?
Hugs from:
Nammu

congratulations on your success...what your questioning could just be caused by your anxiety but they are also symptoms of depression. changes in sleeping patterns and eating pattern are both symptoms of depression. have you lost interest in activities that use to bring you pleasure? find it hard to focus? those are some other common symptoms. but again, congrats. I admire that you are going to school. I had to drop out because the anxiety was too much for me. take care.

Thankyou! I am finding it very hard to concentrate on college work and really don't feel any interest in anything really, anymore. So thankyou for your help and suggestion, it does make alot of sense now!
I'm sorry to hear about having to drop out of school, so goodluck for the future and I hope that it becomes easier for you to cope with your anxiety.

Do you think its starting college (well done) that has made you anxious & stressed?

A visit to your doctor would be a good idea, I know many people are reluctant to take pills but I have to say beta blockers can work wonders to stop panic attacks. Maybe you need a anti depressant too.
