that I wrote asking for help. It had nothing to do with the subject. This is just her siggy line.

Imagination was given to us to compensate for what we are not; a sense of humor was given to us to console us for what we are.

I need to talk to someone....just take my head somewhere else......for some moments......I saw this posting......The Mark McGinnis quote made me laugh.........

My philosophy, that gets me through 'it'........is the choice, I make...........Laugh...or...cry............

I'd rather use laughter.........not that I don't cry....because I take full advantage of the power of tears.........when I cry I let my Self go in the tears........but.....my tears always end, because I start laughing......

I use laughter.....and seemingly find the humor in situations most others around me don't.....but I have notes, posted about, where I can see them.....where people have written to me, in their own hand......saying how they, "miss the sound of my laughter."...........

As a consolation prize, at least laughter makes you feel good.....

Years ago....at rodeo's and ropings, as a consolation prize, I would give out the prize for the 'hard luck' contestant....the one who things just conspired against......I gave them painted underwear and socks........the joke being they would have clean underwear for going to town.....for the ladies, or the Doctor, recovering from this event.........it always caused laughter.........and many ribald comments.......it even aquired a nickname, because people would wonder, and joke, about who was going to get the "Town underwear award".........

The real joke, over the years, were the number of cowboys, men and women, who came to me and told me they really DID wear the underwear when they went to the doctor....!!!!!........just the vision of that in my head is making my mouth grin.........

Many Blessings and much laughter to us all.......

You're probably 99.9% right... but my dog laughs at herself when she stretches and winds up falling off the couch! Just got this in an email There is absolutley no doubt in my mind when she looks at me that she's laughing. Her eyes twinkle and her lips are up in a curl! Just got this in an email

Great quote but for me I consider -

- MY - imagination was given to - ME - not to compensate for what - I - am not, but as a tool to - MY - helping - ME -become what - I - am and can be.

to - ME - compensate means - I - don't have and never will have something so there is a replacement, instead of that thing.

- MY - imagination is not a replacement for anything that - I - don't have. it is instead something that helps inhance what - I - do have.

Don't they say our pets take on our characteristics after they've lived with us a while? Or is it the other way around... or a little of both? LOL

I know they are both "doofs" in their own way. Just got this in an email

You know... you can't say that I don't have the ability to laugh at myself even when I do some of the stupidest things! I may call myself some choice names at first but then I crack myself up.

My imagination is certainly hard at work! I always shock myself when I look in the mirror because I sure don't imagine looking like that old hag that looks back at me!! Just got this in an email
