This is going to sound weird and I hope that it is ok if I ask it here but how can I put a picture either on my message itself or in the side bar of the post?
I have the cuttest picture from a website and I have no idea how to do it.

to put a picture on this site you have to link it from a web address. if you have webspace you can upload the pic there and link from there. if the pic is available elsewhere on the web you can link but depending on the place you should get permission first. it is not only a matter of violating their copyright on the image but also everytime the image comes up (i.e. whenever someone views a post with that image) it has to access their server.

if you can link to the pic, putting it here is easy. in the message you can link to the image using the [ image ] tag (but don't include the spaces) for example [ image ]http://www.idexter.com/misc/hugs/SeptemberMorn_hug.gif[ /image ] displays this from my website:



I assume you know how to use tags because of the blue text in your sig. you can also use a real html tag on this forum, the < img src= > tag in this case.

for a pic under your name you have to edit your profile, same place you enter your signature. in this case the picture has to be a certain size, i think 65 pixels by 75 pixels (is says what you need on the entry box) just enter the url link to the image in that box and it should appear under your name on your next post.
