i am so %#@&#!.ed off at the moment, i have just had a blazing row with the landlord, about 20 mins ago i smelt burning plastic and went to investigate, i found the bin in the kitchen on fire, i was the only person in the house and have been all day, and the front door was wide open, i took the bin outside and extingished the flames, went back in and called the landlord, the smoke alarms have been disabled so if i had not smelt it the house would have been lost along with everything i own, then the landlord had the cheek to moan at me for using the fire extingisher instead of a bucket of water to put out the fire, then he said it must have been my fault i must have thrown a cigarrette into the bin without realising, i nearly hit him again, that was the first time ii had left my room all day, i asked him how many people have keys to the house and he couldnt answer, i think it is the guy i beat up in here before xmas personally, i called a locksmith at the same time and he is changing the locks as i type, the landlord is doing his nut over that has well, its gonna cost him money, i couldnt give a toss, monday i am gonna try and get out of here, i should have taken my stuff out of the house and let it burn

someone has just called the fire brigade and the gas board saying the place was on fire, the landlord had to come back so he was pissed about that, so i chewed his *** off again, the people who live downstairs with there 2 small children got involved has well, the landlord has agreed to the locks changed on the door to upstairs, our place only, but refuses to pay for locks to the front door, so whoever is doing this can still gain entry to the building and start fires in the lobby, i really need to get out of this place asap

I sure hope you find something right away. What a terrible landlord. I am glad you weren't hurt in the fire. Lucky you have a good nose to smell the smoke.

What an awful landlord!! Yes, do move immediately!! From the sounds of it, heck, who knows, it could have been your landlord, himself who set the fire!!
I don't blame you for being so mad. I would be, too!!
I hope you find a place soon. If for nothing else, your safety!!
Good luck,
Linda

i have to wait til monday before i can go down to the mental health place, the ones that put me in here, for them to move me, if i leave of my own free will i will be making myself intentionally homeless therefore they wont have to help me, i didnt go to sleep til 7 am this morning, i know normal time for me, but i was checking the doors, lobby and kitchen most of the night in case anymore fires were set, i even cleared a way threw to my second story window to jump out of incase i couldnt get out the room in time, and only slept when i heard other residents in the house walking about.

i dont need this, i really dont need this, i was doing fine, well better than i normally am at this time of year and this incident has really messed me up

I hope you can get a nights sleep tonight before going in to see them about moving. I am so glad that you are getting out of there and I worry about you. Take care and good luck tomorrow.

mellors,

Can you contact a support worker or drop into a MIND centre who may be able to help find a better place for you to live.

Let them know how bad things are there, you shouldn't need to be worrying about how safe the place is that you live in.

Everyone has a right to live in a safe place.

I hope you can get something sorted soon.

Take care.

i went to the mental health place on monday, they cant move me they say there is noware to move me to, so i have a appointment tommorrow with a outreach team to see if they can help, whoever it was who started the fire broke into the building again today, they stole the actual lock off the door this time so they can get in anytime they want, the landlord wont speak to me face to face anymore after i threatened to batter him again, the people downstairs have changed the frontdoor lock and billed the landlord for it, so thats a bit of progress.

the police were called but we can not prove who it is doing this so i have set up my webcam to cover the front door and have it so i click with a mouse and record to hard drive anyone that enters to catch him that way,

Oh Mellors! I had so hoped you would have some good news. I am genuinely, deeply distressed over this.

i have taken it up a level in regards to the landlord, today, thursday, at 11am, i have got my mental health worker from the outreach team and someone from the local council comming to inspect the property, i talked to the other residents and 2 out of 3 of there mental health workers are also going to be there, if he wont listen to his tennants he will HAVE to listen to these people, they are the ones that authourise the rent payments for the differant residents in the house, i have already given them a list of whats wrong with the property, and the dates when i asked him to get them fixed, all last year except the locks, and the fire brigade are comming in the afternoon to check the alarms again has they have not worked since before xmas, he was warned if they didnt work he was going to be fined, he is really messing with the wrong person if he thinks he can fob me off with crap excuses, this time i am not going to hurt him physically last last time, because he never learned from that, i am going to hurt him financially instead.

then see how long it takes for them to find me someware new and safe to live.

Your landlord does not sound like he takes ANY kind of responsibility for the houses he owns. I hope all the inspectors punish him for any of his failings. I know all landlords are in it for money but it's just purely wrong for him to be so selfish as to leave his tenants in danger. I hope you're found a better house with a better landlord!
