I don't belong to social sites (even Facebook) or have a lot of mail to answer so when I'm at the computer I do a lot of window shopping (meaning that I just look at things I want but can't afford.) It got so bad that I would spend hrs. window shopping on places like eBay for anything I could think of. I began going through each category such as "collections" and have thought of just about anything that people might collect. I've seen every seashell and vintage pottery, vintage toys, dolls, etc. there is for sale. Thankfully I don't have the money. I don't think I'd buy it all though. It's just a matter of looking, I guess. But I feel empty when I'm not looking at stuff.

Now I'm here instead of there. Even if I get addicted to this site, at least I'll be able to interact and discuss without wasting a lot of time. I really enjoy reading the posts and want to respond. I want to give as many hugs as I can too.

Thanks to everyone who's here to share.

Have a great weekend!

I know a lot of women who "window shop" online. There are worse things you could do.

I actually have some sea shells for sale on eBay. I am the opposite. I get addicted to going to garage sales, estate sales, thrift shops and selling stuff on eBay. I get the biggest thrill out of making a little profit and I really enjoy learning about all the collectibles.

Probably we are both better off on this site.

Hi! Welcome to Psych Central.

I don't see anything wrong with window shopping. Do it myself sometimes.

Window shopping is an interesting term. Has anyone bought a window?
