Lately I have been enjoying games without the violence. No fighting games or war games, but games with a softer but still fun side.

I'm really enjoying the heck out of Harvest Moon - Friends of Mineral Town. Its a game about farming! You raise both crops for sale and animals and you even have to take special care of both for them to grow! It is for the Gameboy Advance, by Nintendo. They also have a similar game by Harvest Moon for Gamecube.

I also love - fishing games, all the fun without having to hurt a fish in the process(I just cant bring myself to fish anymore IRL)

I remember Mario too. Mario was so fun without all of the other stuff thats particularily violent or triggering.

What kind of, or what games, do you enjoy that are non violent!

Hey pilatus! I too am a child of the 80s!

And thanks for the suggestions. It doesn't matter one bit to me if its older or newer games. Sometimes the best ones are the oldies!

Hey Good thread. I love scrabble and haven't played it in years. My BF doesn't like it and last week I was really wanting to play it when I found it online! I tried the demo and am now going to try and find it. Just google Scrabble.

When I was a kid I had an atari st. i really loved this game called 'black lamp'. i guess... you did shoot things... but it was a cartoon style game that was really about finding all the different coloured lamps and putting them in the boxes. there was a 3-d pacman that was pretty good too :-)

do you remember the hand held games that used to have one game per unit? tennis was a big favourite.

frogger is ringing a bell too... where you get the frog over the road between the cars then over the river on the logs.

um...

i'm a bit of a minesweep nut but i guess that is really very nerdy...

and spider solitare and freecell still keep me amused at times...

aside from that i guess i like the first person role playing games (such as heroes of might and magic and temple of elemental evil etc etc). i really love different kinds of spells and saving up for the extra cool armour... but yeah i guess there is fighting in that...

x-box... i used to play the harry potter games which weren't too bad.

i've never played myst but there is meant to be a sequal to that too that is pretty good. not violent, more puzzle type games...

not too sure about the non-violent aspect... (sorry)

project gotham?

this one is very fun, good for a few minutes a day.

When all the numbered red squares are visible, try to get rid of them as fast as you can, in numerical order.

You don't have to click them... just touch them with the cursor.
