I don't have a doctor, let alone "treatment team". Universal health care is not that universal and doesn't really cover therapy.

Another thing to consider is maybe people here ask cause they can't/don't wanna bother theiri "treatment team" with every little question. Or maybe their doctors are not so open, or provide only limited answers because they haven't been through the experience.

I ranted about "twelve letter advice" (take your meds) before, when thrown around too much (especially when OP complains about unbearable side effects or inability to afford costs... or about things that cannot be soved by simply taking their meds). This is the same. If somebody wants to talk to their doctor, they do so. Asking on forum means... they want something else, something more, something different.

I can understand people coming here to ask questions, rather than bothering their doctor. I'm not always entirely comfortable asking my doctor everything.
It's nice to talk to your peers about some of these things.
